MacDONALD, Grant Russell It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Grant Russell MacDonald. Grant passed away at Greater Niagara General Hospital on November 6, 2019 at the age of 79. Beloved father to Don MacDonald (Kari), Lisa MacDonald-Beeson (Bryan), Jaime MacDonald (Tanya). Loving grandfather to Melissa Van Erp, Casey Van Erp, Jesse MacDonald, Tanner MacDonald, Brodi MacDonald, Bailey MacDonald, Griffin MacDonald, Tristan MacDonald, and was soon to be a great-grandfather. Grant worked at Alcan Wire and Cable for 30 years, then moved to Wasaga Beach, then ultimately moved to a warmer climate in Niagara Falls. He was an avid golfer, and recreational fisherman. Grant was a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays fan. His animated and comical storytelling abilities will never be forgotten. At Grant's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16 at the South Muskoka Golf and Country Club from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the War Amps of Canada.
