VAN EKELENBURG, John May 4, 1930 - October 27, 2019 John passed away peacefully at the Pines Long Term Care Centre, Bracebridge. Predeceased by his first wife Maria and second wife Joyce Ann. John leaves behind his children Rick (Cathy), Francesca (Ian Moreau), Angelica (Barry Sword), and the late Bernard and father-in-law to Christine. Stepfather to Susan (Brian). Cherished grandfather of Jonathan, Lindsay, Jessica, Shannon, Shawn, Amanda, Andrea, Alan, Michael and Tina. Proud great-grandfather of 12 and one on the way. John is survived by his sister Cornelia and brother Gerrard. Visitation will be held at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary St., Bracebridge from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 followed by the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 118 McMurray St., Bracebridge.
