Lisa Gerda Ursula FRY

The family announces the peaceful passing of Lisa at Cassellholme for the Aged on May 16, 2023, at the age of 97 years. Lisa was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Fry (2018). She was the much-loved mother of Lori Holotuk (Ron) of Bear Valley and Lanni Fry (Frances) of Holland Landing. Cherished grandmother of Andrea Grawbarger (Steven), Blair Holotuk (Sarah), Candice Fry (Robin) and great-grandchildren Ben, Santanna (Geoff), Spencer, Bryson, Braedan, and Barett. She was predeceased by her grandson-in-law Jamie Grawbarger. Lisa was the daughter of the late Otto and Hedy Schermer. Dear sister-in-law of the late Alfred Fry (Alma-dec.), the late Vernon Fry (Eileen-dec.), and the late Phyllis Bolton (Elmer-dec.). She is survived by her brother-in-law Rodney Fry (June-dec.). The family will receive visitors at the Whispering Pines Funeral Home, Powassan on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Commanda Community Centre at 9 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. officiated by Pastor Enzo Pellini. Interment will follow at the Commanda Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the Commanda Hall or Museum, or to Cassellholme. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Cassellholme for their outstanding care and compassion toward Lisa.
