Passed away at home with her family. Beloved wife of the late George Walker, loving mother to Heather Powell (David) and Alison Ploen (Axel). Born in Manitoba, Helen worked at the Childrens Hospital in Winnipeg, transferring to Sick Kids in Toronto when they moved to Ontario. Helen and George came to this area in 1969 and made it their home. She worked at the Cobourg Public Library for many years, both at the Chapel Street location and on King Street. She loved music and was one of the founding members of the NOC in 1978. Right up until the start of the pandemic she played her violin in both the orchestra and with the Corktown Fiddlers. A member of both Trinity United Church and Bethesda/Rural Faith United Church. A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
