Raymond Russell Seymour

Suddenly at home on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in his 72nd year. Son of the late William and Margaret (nee Canning) Seymour. Loving husband of Elaine Seymour (nee Mabee) for nearly 40 years. Amazing father of Wayne Seymour and Sherry (Will) Smith, both of Belleville. Proud Pappy of Hudson. Dear brother of Gary of Kingston, Stanley (Tootie) of Smithfield, Iona (Glynn) Farnden of Kingston, and Michael (Beverley) of Trenton. Ray is missed by Elaine's siblings, Marilyn (David) Fotheringham of Cochrane, AB and William Mabee of Brighton. Raymond is predeceased by his brother Anthony (Deborah surviving), his sister-in-law Kathy (Gary's wife), and Elaine's sister Marlene MacRae (Arden Edmonson surviving). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as his hundreds of good friends that he loved like family. The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville on Thursday, February 25th, 2021 from 1:30-2:00 p.m., 2:15-2:45 p.m., 3:00-3:30 p.m., 3:45-4:15 p.m., and 4:30-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-7:30 p.m., 7:45-8:15 p.m., and 8:30-9:00 p.m. All guests are required to pre-register by calling the Funeral Home at 613-968-2273 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or by emailing rsvp@steelefuneralhome.ca . A Private Family Service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Friends and extended family are invited to join the service online at steelefuneralhome.ca . Cremation has taken place. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
