William Davis Obituary
June 6, 1939 - January 16, 2022
Son of the late Lillian and George Davis
Passed away peacefully after a slow decline in health brought on by a broken hip.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia (nee Price), son Ted (Marj) Davis, daughters, Vicky (Bill) Sayers, Josette (Mike) Wilson. Grandfather to Billy, Joey, Amanda, Bobby, Shannon, Anthony, James, Andrew and Douglas. Great Grandfather of 11.
Dad moved our family from Pickering to Colborne in 1968 to a 28 acre parcel of land. Through the years mom and dad ran a small hobby farm while dad continued to drive back and forth to Pickering for work. After many years of commuting dad finally found work closer to home. He worked hard to give us all a good life filled with many fond memories.
He was an awesome father and grand father who absolutely loved us all. His favorite thing to do was tease each and every one of us on a regular basis. Dad loved to get us going.
Dad was a "Jack" of all trades. Over the years he helped many family members and neighbours in need of renovations, car repairs or just a helping hand. He was very considerate with his time.
Dad lived his life exactly as he wanted. He was never extravagant, nor did he waste money on new vehicles or trips. He was happiest at home. Dad never sat idle, even when he retired. He was always puttering around the house, either building something or repairing something. You could see my dad walking his beloved little dog Ella around the block numerous times a day before he broke his hip. He just couldn't sit still.
Words cannot express our sadness and how much we will miss this incredible man who we all loved very much. We will continue your legacy dad.
At dad's request there will be no service after his cremation. We are at peace knowing dad will be home where he belongs soon.
Those wishing may make a donation to the Northumberland Humane Society in my dad's honour.
