Ayodele Ayola Floreani, age 51, passed away on December 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer-one she faced with unwavering strength and dignity. Ayola was a gift to everyone who had the privilege of calling her a friend. Her radiant smile and warm presence lit up every room she entered.
Ayola was born on August 28, 1974, in Trinidad and Tobago, and passed away in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is survived in Canada by her two loving children, Koko and Marley, her mother Marcia, her brother Desmond, and her devoted partner, Steve.
She is lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters, Michael, Jason, Jewel, Javon, Mosi, and father, Mongo. She is also remembered by a wide, ever-growing circle of friends from all walks of life. Ayola's life was a true adventure, lived with confidence, courage, and zest. Rising to the top of her field from very humble and difficult beginnings, she embodied grace, determination, and hard work. Exceptionally intelligent and endlessly curious, she was always learning and educating herself.
Her love for her children was immeasurable and deeply inspiring. She found great joy in music, singing, dancing, travelling, and cooking, and will be remembered for the joy, warmth, and inspiration she brought into the lives of so many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Eagles Hall, 170 3rd Street West, North Vancouver. Dancing and music will follow. Please RSVP to
