Cathy FORSYTH Obituary

FORSYTH, Cathy Lynne (Nee Bolton)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Cathy Lynne Forsyth passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, November 16th, 2024, at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. Cathy was 58.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband Lindsay, daughter Chelsea, mother Josie Bolton, brother Steve Bolton, his wife Lori and their children Zachary and Brianne, as well as Ernie Forsyth (father in-law) and Sharon Forsyth (sister in-law). Cathy was predeceased by her father Ted Bolton in 2022.

Cathy was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 4, 1966 and was a graduate of Handsworth Secondary and University of Victoria. After graduation Cathy worked in the family business at Speedbolt Printing and then went back to school to achieve her Early Childhood Education certificate from Langara College.

Cathy bravely faced her battle with Multiple Sclerosis most of her life, yet she always had a big smile on her face and loved everyone. In fact, that would be her life statement, Cathy Loved Large.

A Celebration of Cathy's Life will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to thank all of Cathy's caregivers and nurses over the years including CISL, Vancouver Coastal Health, Inglewood Care Centre and the Maid Team from Vancouver Coastal Health.

Cathy it's been a month since you left us to join your two fathers in Heaven. Time has past so fast already. Your voice was like an angel and now we all have a angel looking upon us and after us. We shared so many special memories. So much laughter, tears and great times. No one can be compared to you. I was so lucky to have met you. You always gave me the time and listened to me. You taught me so much in life. You were a true friend and confidant. I will cherish our friendship and will never meet anyone like you ever again. I miss you horribly!!! I love you from the bottom of my heart. I was honored to have such a special person like you enter my life. The bravery that you showed at the end was insurmountable. It was so hard to say goodbye! I don't want to think it was our last goodbye but only a pass in time before we meet again. I hope you will be there when I too cross over as we all will one day. I love you my dear. You are always in my thoughts and in my heart forever. Thank you just being you, you were such a pleasure to be around. You were such a beautiful woman and person inside and out. God has a much better plan for you. I believe that's why he took you too early. So for now we part our separate ways but I will see you soon, the next time for eternity my love! I miss and love you Cathy!!!!

My condolences to the Forsythe and Bolton family during this difficult time.

I graduated from Handsworth with Cathy and went with her to Capilano College briefly. I remember a time where she dyed my hair for me. We had so much fun together. We then sadly lost touch. However she left a lasting memory of her beautiful spirit. I remember her warmth and kindness. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I´m so sorry to hear of her passing. I wish her family and friends peace and comfort. May she rest in peace
