Dear Ann and family, please accept my deepest condolences. I was shocked to hear about Rev. Henning's passing. I will always have great memories of his friendship both in a work setting and outside on a personal level. He was always willing to assist me in my time of need for services and for my own family gatherings. I will cherish my memories of Rev. Henning for the rest of my life. God speed my friend, you will always have a place in my heart.

Cliff Henning was my childhood minister at North Lonsdale United Church and I was the very first baby he christened when he came to North Vancouver from South Africa. We had a special bond when I was young...my mother, Caroline, sang in the church choir and, while I waited for Mum to rehearse with the choir, I would sit in Rev. Henning's office and quietly draw as he wrote his sermons. When I became an adult and became engaged, I managed to get in contact with him and ask him if he would marry my husband and me. He very kindly and graciously agreed and it made my wedding day even more special having him there, joining us in marriage. He was a gentle soul who will always have a very place in my heart. Condolences and peace to the Henning family and thank you, Rev. Henning. Rest Easy
