Cathy & I would like to express our condolences to the extended Brooks Family. Dave was a childhood friend. We went to elementary and high school graduating in 1979 from Carson Graham. Dave was one of the good guys, always the peace maker and a calm presence amongst our group. We shared the love of fishing and would fish together on the beach at the mouth of Capilano River. Have not seen him for years but have lots of fond memories of Dave Rest peacefully old friend. Set the table we will all eventually be sharing a meal in the great fluffy white beyond. Deepest condolences to David's family and many friends. We are thinking of you all, at this difficult time.

Dave was one of a kind. With his quick wit, charm and love of life he was always wonderful company and made any time spent with him just that much better. To have had him as a friend was special in too many ways to count.

His happy go lucky outlook, optimism and swashbuckling style was infectious. He was a free spirit who lived a full, but all too short life. He is missed and won't be forgotten.

Rest in well earned peace now, David.
