David COX Obituary

COX, David October 16, 1969 - April 13th 2021 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Cox after a courageous and brave battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy - Cerebellum. Left to mourn are David's wife and family in Fort Langley. His wife Jen and children Joshua, Julia and Jacqueline; David's parents Valerie and Tony Cox; his brother Mark Cox and Aunt Sheila Cox. Also his in-laws who were a great support to David, Gordon and Wendy Nicoletti. David was deeply committed to his family. He will be missed by his cousins in the UK and many school friends and business colleagues across Canada. David grew up in Lions Bay and attended Gleneagles Elementary School, graduating from Hillside Secondary in June of 1986. He gained a Bach of Economics and Philosophy from SFU and went on later to gain his Masters in Business from Queens University. He was extremely successful in business starting work with ADP, sales with Johnson & Johnson, and then 14 years of steady promotions whilst working with Cardinal Health Canada in Ontario, ending up as their VP of National Sales, Acute Care and Clinical Technology. He also spent two years in London, Ontario with Trudell Medical Marketing as their VP Marketing and General Manager. David then came West and worked in BC with Pixalere as VP Development, followed by Response Biomedical as Global Sales Manager. David always saw the broad picture and was always well planned. He was a talented pianist having had lessons since he was four years old with a well known classical teacher in West Vancouver, Lenora Shier. This led him to join the West Van Band, where he played oboe. He was a keen golfer, hiker, lover of the outdoors, and also owned a Harley Davidson. He loved to travel, was fluent in French and spent time whilst a student at SFU, working his summers in France with Butterfield and Robinson as a Tour Guide. He was also very involved as a Volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and the Salvation Army. Due to current restrictions, there will be a service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the charity of your choice.

My heartfelt condolences to all of David's family. Sending special thoughts to Tony and Jen, both of whom I had the honour of working with during my career at Baxter and Philips respectively. I know how much David was loved by you and how much joy he brought to so many people. May wonderful memories of him help you through this difficult time and keep him close to you always. Sending hugs.

David was a lovely man. We worked together for several years and he lived in our neighbourhood in Toronto so we crossed paths there too. I recall his common sense, good advice and terrific sense of humour. I'm so very sorry. My sincere condolences to his family and many friends. Rita Forman
