Eilieen Brosinsky Obituary

Eilieen Abernethy Brosinsky, 83, of Vernon, BC, passed away on November 28 2025. Born in North Vancouver, Eilieen graduated from North Vancouver High School and trained as a Practical Nurse, beginning her career at Lions Gate Hospital.
Eileen later lived in Merritt and Verson, where she formed a lifelong bond with her dear friend and "Soul Sister," Desi Ellefson. She embraced farm life with great joy, caring for her miniature goats, peacock, chickens, and growing and braiding garlic, which she sold at Lonsdale Quay.
Eileen faced lung cancer with courage, supported faithfully by Desi in her final months.
Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mabel Darney, and her brother Mike Darney, she is survived by her sister Helen Whittle, brother-in-law Jack Whittle, nieces and nephews, her cherished grandson, and a great-niece she was delighted to meet shortly before her passing.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held in Spring 2026. Special thanks to the Vernon Hospice Team for their exceptional care.
