It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Anderson announces her sudden passing on October 1st. Elaine was the youngest child of Jack and Carole Gossen, and is survived by her daughter Kyla Anderson and Kyla's father Trevor Anderson, brother Trevor (Jennifer), sister Kelly (Darin), and twin sister Michelle (Garry), as well as nephews Justin, Jacob, Owen, and niece Kara. Elaine grew up in North Vancouver where she graduated from Carson Graham Secondary in 1989. After high school, she was a dedicated employee for more than 20 years at a customs brokerage firm. Elaine played many sports including soccer, softball, bowling and swimming. She continued playing softball into adulthood and was a strong competitor on the field. Elaine also enjoyed watching hockey, and her favourite team was the Vancouver Canucks. She also loved watching movies and playing video games where her competitive streak was on full display! Elaine will be greatly missed by those who loved her, and we will remember her funny, fun-loving, and outgoing personality. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in Elaine's memory to an addiction recovery house.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I went to high school with Elaine and remember her always being so kind and caring. She never forgot to give you a smile even if just passing me in the hallway. My thoughts and prayers to all loved ones.

My condolences to my Auntie Carole, Uncle Jack, Kelly, Michelle and Trevor. I heard the news last week, and am very sad for everyone's loss. I'm happy to have great memories of the little blonde twin, with a contagious laugh, that I used to babysit and enjoy family gatherings with.
