Hans van Halderen

1966 - 2022

We are incredibly saddened to announce the sudden passing of our son, brother and uncle, Hans van Halderen, at the young age of 55 at his home in Chilliwack, BC, on March 14, 2022. Hans was born in Delft, the Netherlands, on May 29, 1966, and immigrated with his family to Delta, BC, in 1970. He attended Holly Elementary when it first opened, followed by Delta Manor and Delta Secondary. Hans was a friend to many and always had time for everyone around him. His passion earlier in life was soccer, followed by fishing at Tunkwa Lake Resort (his happy place). It was always a game for Hans to get the first catch over his dad and nephews. We are so going to miss him, along with his co-workers at Tidy Steel-Fab, where he worked for many, many years. Hans is predeceased by his dad, Bert. He is survived by his mom Janneke, sister Carolien, nephews Shane and Sam, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, both in Canada and the Netherlands. Memorial to be held at a later date.
