Hope Grau Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Aunt Hope on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
Hope slipped peacefully into the arms of her Lord after a short battle with illness at Lions Gate Hospital. She left holding the hand of her devoted and loving sister, Ruth, with niece, Sherry Kennedy, and great-niece, Alanna Randawa at her side.
She was predeceased by her father, Earnest Grau; mother, Edith Grau; and sister, Esther Kennedy.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bourchier and the whole staff of T4E for their compassion and excellent care of Hope and our whole family.
A celebration of life will be held in her honour at a future date to be determined by the family.

We met Hope through the Archaeological Institute of America chapter at UBC. She shared stories of her experiences and travels in archaeology with us as we drove to or from the North Shore together. Our condolences to Ruth, the best and most loving sister imaginable.

Very sorry to hear of Hope’s passing. She had served as the membership secretary of the Vancouver Society of the Archaeological Institute of America.
