Jessica Clark Obituary
Jessica Grace Clark (nee Sinclair) passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, 102 years young. Predeceased by her husband, Elmer Douglas Clark, brother William "Bill" Sinclair, and sister Marjory Pearson. Jessica is survived by her daughter, Hazel Turner (Robert).
Jessica was born in Tumut, New South Wales, Australia. She did her RN training in Manly, New South Wales, where she was Ward Sister and a senior member of the theatre staff. Jessica also worked as a private nurse to save for her travel aspirations.
In 1956, Jessica travelled to Canada. She worked as an RN in the hospital at Trail, B.C. Jessica met Elmer in Trail and married in 1961. When Elmer passed away in 1977, she moved to North Vancouver. Jessica worked as a private nurse and, for many years, with Shylo Nursing. Jessica loved being a nurse. She had high standards for her patients' care.
Jessica had an adventurous spirit, loved to go 'walkabout,' listen to music, meet new people, and try new things. She was a loyal friend and a highly respected nurse.
Jessica's secret to a long life was to laugh often and have a giggle a day. She was well loved by family and friends and will be missed.
Thank you to Dr. Bird and the staff of 2 North in Evergreen House for their care and kindness shown to Jessica.
A celebration of Jessica's life will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2:00pm at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Osteoporosis Canada or Glaucoma - Fighting Blindness Canada in Jessica's name.
