John BARHAM Obituary

BARHAM, John William September 7, 1928 - May 29, 2015 John was born in Strood, England and passed away at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Violet, his five children Diane Barham, Barbara Barham, Douglas Barham (Mary Lee), Patricia Arcari (Chris), and David Barham (Lynn), seven grandchildren Tammi Dundass, Danielle Auger (Brad), Jason Barham (Robyn), Tara Arcari (Brett Lambie), Paolo Arcari, Andrew Barham, and Kathrin Arcari, three great-grandchildren Blake Lambie, Elizabeth Lambie, and Lila Auger. John worked for Canadian General Electric for 38 years beginning in Hamilton before working in Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. He finished his work career as a partner with Winford Insulations. John made lifelong friends in Mesa, Arizona where he spent many winters. He enjoyed tennis and golf, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be conducted by The Rev'd Charles Walters, Tuesday, June 16 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Martin's Anglican Church, 195 Windsor Road E., North Vancouver. Reception to follow. Keith and I considered John a very good friend. We had fond memories of our trips to the Verde Canyon, New York and Phoenix. Keith and John played some good tennis games and we also shared golf with him. He will be so missed by Vi and his family and by us as well.
