I met Lea doing business looking for noise solutions for compressors. He was so helpful and inviting we wound up doing the fire protection inspection for his business. We were reciprocal customers for many years. I joined the Burrard Yacht club in 2017 only to find out that he was a member and past commodore. I work shoulder to shoulder with him on many work parties and his smile never wavered. He was a really good guy, he will be missed.

I just found out about his passing and it's sad to hear. I knew Lea from his boat. My company sold him his boat and built it. I only met him a few times but he was a great guy and he loved his boat. He kept it in pristine condition.

I was so very sorry to have just only learned of Lea´s passing. It seems far too soon. And, this is a very difficult and heart-wrenching journey, I know. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Beverly

I am so sorry for your loss, Niki. We met one time at a WVSS '71 reunion. It was at the reunion in 2001. I always liked Lea throughout high school, a true and kind person, is how I remember him. We ended up having mutual friends and a couple of years later, Lea was one of our groomsmen, when I married a friend of Lea's, along with Mike O'neil and Hans Jensen. I recently (4 months ago) lost my husband. I was divorced and met my husband and we had 37 incredible years, till he passed suddenly 4 months ago. I can truly say, I know what you are going through and what is ahead, and I am truly sorry for you and your family. From the obituary, it sounds like Lea was a wonderful man.

I am so saddened to hear of Lea´s passing. I have many wonderful memories of special times with you, Lea, Matthew and Laura.
Tofino trips will forever be at the forefront of these memories.
You were such an important part of life with young children and I remember so many moments of laughter and wonderful friendships. My heart goes out to you, Matthew, Laura and your grandchildren. Love to you all.

I first met Lea through business dealings. He was the kind of fellow being with whom you felt immediately comfortable. His manner conveyed that he would reliably take care of your needs and meet your requirements.
Later at Burrard Yacht Club I knew him more closely as a fellow member and friend. He had that likeable and engaging disposition which made him a true friend and a man to be respected and admired. One felt better for knowing Lea.

I´m so so sorry for your loss.I remember Lea so well. Such a part of my teenage years. He & my brother , Mike O´Neill, were such good friends. He was always the sweetest, kindest guy.

He was an avid fisherman, outdoors man, people-person. Everyone loved Lea. In our teens, we spent many evenings, around the same campfire, talking about life, cars and girls. Bye buddy.
