Dear Wendy,
We are heartbroken for you and your family, and so utterly shattered by this tragedy. Eva and Maddy were in PJ Camp together and bestest monkey bar friends. She was absolutely so lovely, and Eva had said to us many times how she only looked forward to camp because Maddy would be there and she was so nice to her and the "bestest girl". You are in my thoughts all the time, I send you so much love, we all do. We will always remember Maddy and have a special place for her in our hearts.

Dear Wendy,
We are so sorry for your loss. Maddy's life was far too short and I know your heart is broken but I want you to know that our family, like so many others, will remember her so full of life and joy.
I remember after Sunday school when my quiet, serious, bookish little boy met Maddy and she brought out this completely new side of him. I can still see them running gleefully around the reception hall, Benjamin completely smitten with your beautiful girl and her contagious joyful energy.
I pray that you feel the Love of God enfolding you, comforting you and giving you the strength to get through each day. Although you'd rather have her with you, may you feel Maddy's Presence near you always.

Wendy, Maddy's service today was so beautiful. It was so lovely to hear such sweet stories of her and to hear your family and friends speak about her with such immense love. Maddy was clearly loved and cherished by so many.
When speaking of her today, my son Viggo was saying to his sister that Maddy was always happy and joyful. Watching the photos of her life today showed that to be true. She was a bright light, clearly surrounded by such joy and happiness and love.
I cannot imagine the unbearable pain you must feel and my heart breaks for you. You are in my thoughts and I send you strength and love.

Wendy, the service for Maddy today was so touching in every way from the words spoken by your friends and family members to the precious photos of Maddy through the years.
I think everyone there was astonished by your strength and grace. You are a beautiful soul and so was Maddy. I think you made Maddy's short time with us as good as life can possibly get.
Our hearts are utterly broken for you and your family. She was a little angel. My son Harry told me out of the blue just a few days after hearing the tragic news that Maddy was the nicest girl in the class. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

To all of Maddy's family...
I was Maddy's dance teacher at SHIFT this past year. I am so sincerely saddened to hear of Maddy's passing. I wish I was able to be at the service to pay my respects today.
I just wanted to let you know that I feel very blessed to have been able to teach, laugh, and play with Maddy during her short time with us. She was such a ball of happy energy. She would come dancing into the classroom each Tuesday and would be so excited to share the stories of her past week, or to show me the fabulous dress she had on that day. She was so excited when she got to have an "acting part" in her recital dance, as a sweet little mouse from Cinderella. She was also so determined to get her jete's. When there was down time in the class, I would see her going back and forth practicing the step with steaffast concentration. She had such a beautiful little smile and enthusiasm. My heart is broken for you all.
I will really miss her this fall.

Dear Wendy and the entire family
To begin with I am devastated by the tragic loss of your precious little angel 'Maddy'. I have shed countless tears since I heard the shocking news. Wendy I have never meet you in person but I have heard amazing things about you and your love for the family. Ironically, I meet Maddy's daddy in the most unusual way .... he purchased the very tall wrought iron candle for us. He soon became not only our dentist but a friend. I remember the joy in his eyes when he told me about the birth of Maddy.
I am the lady who made the needle point picture for Maddy specially and gave it to her daddy to give to her. I was privileged to have met Maddy a few times in her daddy's office. One day, as I was waiting for my daughter in the office I decided to skyping my 85 year old mother who lives in Calgary. I had the head phones on. Suddenly Maddy came up to me and asked me who am I talking to. I told her it was my mother. Maddy was curious and asked to see my mother. My mother immediately started talking to Maddy. Mom asked Maddy to sing a song. Maddy asked 'Which song'? Mom replied Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Maddy eager sang. After Maddy finished singing she asked my mom "Now what song will you sing for me?" My mother ended up singing Maddy a Hungarian song. Your precious little angels eyes lit up as she was listening to the song. My mother has a very heavy Hungarian accent and I could tell that Maddy was amused and enjoyed hearing it. She thanked my mom and stayed sitting beside me listening to mom and I speaking. I will always remember the sweetness of that moment,
Maddy has touched my heart from the moment her daddy told us that she was born. He told me that sadly Maddy's grandpa was fighting cancer at that time. The connection between us was ironic as my own husband was fighting terminal cancer then. Over the years I always asked about Maddy when I had an appointment and as I mentioned ... I was blessed a few times because Maddy was there.
I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart for your loss. There are no words that I can say to take the pain away. Just know that there are many, many people who have been touched by Maddy's presence and personality. Maddy was a gift to many ... especially her family.
May each of you find the strength to endure the loss of this life changing tragedy. May each of you find comfort in the memories that will always keep Maddy in your hearts and souls. May Maddy rest in peace. God Bless!

My daughter Mikayla had the short privilege of befriending Maddy during an art camp several weeks ago. In that short time Mikayla found all the beautiful things in Maddy. They played on monkey bars, created beautiful art work together and chatted about all the precious things little girls love, including her family.

I had the pleasure of meeting sweet Maddy at her Daddy's office a few months ago while I was helping out. I heard a little voice behind me say "Hi, I'm Maddy" and I turned around to see the sweetest little girl with bright eyes staring back at me. I spent about a half an hour with her before her Mommy picked her up, and she drew me the most beautiful pictures which I still have and will keep always. She was such a sweet little girl, smiling and happy. My only reasoning is that Jesus had a very important job for her to do and called her home. My heartfelt condolences to her entire family who are suffering an immeasurable loss. Rest in peace sweet angel, you will be missed.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Maddy's entire family. We had the pleasure of meeting Maddy numerous times at her Daddy's dental office. She was a little sunshine girl. However she was keeping herself occupied, sorting toothpaste for Molly or perhaps engaging the staff in a game of hide and seek, she brought with her a sense of joy and light. Filling the office with giggles and making people smile.
Having received the sad news while holidaying in Cinque Terre Italy, we were able to light a candle and say a prayer for Maddy, her Daddy and the entire family in a church in the small hilltop town of Corniglia.
We give thanks for Maddy's life and trust that she is now safe in the arms of Jesus. We will never forget her.
