Rita JACKLIN Obituary

May 6, 1929 - January 18, 2013

After a long life, well lived, Rita passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. Rita will be forever missed by her loving husband Gordon, family and many friends. Rita was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. It was there that she met Gordon and together they embarked on a journey of marriage that would last 58 years and include 9 children and 13 grandchildren. Gordon and Rita raised their family in Lynn Valley where they have lived for the past 57 years. Family was central to Rita's life and she will be remembered lovingly for her warm and cheerful smile, quick laugh, generosity and welcoming nature. A Funeral service will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church on Monday, January 28th at 11am. A Memorial Service will follow at 12pm at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Rita's memory to your local hospital, children's or charitable foundation.
