Ronald Lee Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Reid Lee after 90 years of a life well lived. Ron died peacefully on February 4th, 2026 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by loved ones.

Ron was born in Toronto and brought up in Agincourt. He was an accomplished track athlete who specialized in sprinting and once took his exceptional speed to the hallowed halls of Madison Square Gardens for an event.

He moved to North Vancouver in 1965 and was a hard -working, and successful owner of Capilano and Marine Esso, Westview Esso and later 3rd St. Esso. He established many lasting relationships with his customers over many decades. He retired in 1994.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elizabeth; his children Richard, Janet (Nils Clarke) and Andrea (Ron Gervan); and his grandchildren Max (Lorijane),Angus, Rose and Brock.

He loved a good game of Crib and making turkey dinner for family and friends. He was known for his caring and welcoming nature and for his tolerance and inclusion for all people. Ron also possessed a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humour that never waned, even in his final years. For these traits, he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of spending time with him.

Ron was a good man and he will be deeply missed.

Donations may be made in Ronald Lee's name to Canadian Red Cross Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP).
