Ronald O'HARA Obituary

O'HARA Ronald James (6 Nov 1927 - 24 June 2015) After an amazingly full life, Ron passed away peacefully at home at 12:12am on 24 June, 2015. He now will join his wife Mary and dance amongst the stars & reconnect with daughters Mary Jane & Marilyn. He will be fondly remembered by his surviving children Carol (Harry), Robert, & Allyson (Jonathan), 6 grandchildren, & 10 great-grandchildren. Ron worked as a Federal Labour Relations Officer until he was 70, a profession he truly enjoyed. In retirement, he cared for his ailing wife, helping in the garden & learning to cook. After Mary passed, Ron became involved in the lives of his youngest grandchildren, in the West Van arts community, being an enthusiastic patron of the Silk Purse, in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, & in traveling, especially to Dixieland Jazz concerts in remembrance of Mary. His last years were filled with joy & love with his family & friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Francis in-the-Wood, 4773 South Piccadilly, W Van on Wed 22 July, at 2pm.
