Sam left us far too soon. Our heart goes out to his family and especially Ava and Ty who brought him so much joy. He has left us and our children with many wonderful memories. Our children's Uncle Sam will be forever remembered for his bright smile and kind, outgoing nature.

Our Sam was very well known up on the hill at RAVEN Woods. We will miss him and his outgoing nature and his kindness to everyone. He was such a dedicated father who loved and adored his two beautiful children. One of his greatest joys was having the kids overnight and cooking healthy meals for them. He was taken too early and will be very much missed.

My friend...an amazing person,always had light in his eyes...I've been away from North Shore for many years...but every time I was home and we ran into each other and we always had a great chat...talking about our children

Goodbye my sweet Sam. Your memory will live on through our beautiful children, Ava and Tyler. I will be sure to continually remind them in all the ways I can what a truly amazing daddy you were. Your children were your world, and you will be greatly missed! Ava and Ty have already asked me to do some of the special things you included in their precious lives, like "ice cream on hot days, visits to Cates Park, camping at Pender Harbour, and bug collecting". I will do my best without you, but your valued presence in their daily lives will be sorely missed, and your continued friendship and emotional support to me I will slowly learn to live without. Sam Robertson and I grew up together in West Vancouver. While in elementary school, Sam and I spent endless days at Capilano golf course searching for golf balls or making runs over Cleveland dam to Hardies.
In high school we spent our days at Sentinel High school (in the principal's office) and nights watching Caddie Shack, Animal House or Revenge of the Nerds. The summer camping trips were epic and the skateboarding to Ambleside beach was awesome.
I have many fond memories of Sam but think the best were at Pender Harbor in the summer. Sam was at his best when on or near the water either fishing or working on the docks parking boats. After high school Sam and I went on our separate ways but each time I ran into him it was like old times, nothing but fun and positive energy.
I will miss you my friend but I know you are in a good place now.
