Every year I see your In Memoriam for Simon, and every year I mean to send you a message.
Simon was two years ahead of me at West Van High, we didn't really know each other then (I do remember his big head of hair!).
We became friends a few years later, being the only two punk rockers in West Vancouver.
He may have looked tough with his shaved head and tattoos, but he unfailingly treated me with respect, like a little sister. He watched out for me, was protective and always kind.
I think of him from time to time, with a smile on my face.
I'll always remember him.
