Stephen Pisko Obituary

It is with extreme sadness that I announce the passing of my husband, Stephen John Pisko, after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 68 on December 13th, 2021.

Steve was born in Red Deer, Alberta, on July 22, 1953. He developed a passion for performing and photography as a teenager. He was one of the top DJs in Canada during the disco days. In later years, he also took up writing articles for an online magazine. His web page, www.stephanpisko.com, is a reflection of his work.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverly; sister Theresa Wilson; and two nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, Eileen and Stephen Pisko.

At the end of his life, he was attended to by his three favourite people who supported him through his final journey, his sister of the heart, Elizabeth, his unofficial "adopted" daughter Gigi and his loving wife.

Many thanks to everyone who supported us through this trial. This includes North Shore Home Support, Home Care Nursing, the chemotherapy staff, the palliative care team and the North Shore Hospice.

No service by request. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to North Shore Hospice.

I offer my condolences to Stephen's wonderful wife Beverly and his family. He was a wonderful contributor to The Art Of Monteque now Dreamweaverarts. In my darkest moments he was a great support to me. She was wonderful to work with and I will miss our engaging conversations. Please except our condolences from all of us at Dreamweaverarts. Sending you lots of love and light.

Stephan Pisko,

I so very enjoyed working with you, exploring our collaborations and ideas over coffee before our photo shoots. Listening to me go on about hair and hair colour, with you explaining lighting and moving energy, where you´d capture motion in moments with your photos.

I loved our zingy and zany moments and ideas, that would come up during our creative process. I´ll never forget when you told me you were an Elvis impersonator, my favourite musician.
I will always think back to how beautiful and inspiring your friendship has been to me, and how your work spoke for itself.

You are a caring, creative, and beautiful human being.

Thank you Stephan for our time together my friend.
Much love to you Beverly Stephen spoke of you in such a loving way.
