To all those who loved Dr.Thomas L. Calder :
On June of 1963 - without knowing it at the time- I met one of the most influential people in my life. It was the very day I was born. His name was Dr. Thomas L. Calder. He ceased being my Dr. in 1998.
He was there for me, treating mild childhood ailments to broken bones.
In addition he had a large family of friends, neighbours, and office support staff.
Apparently Dr. Calder enjoyed a full, happy retirement.
He will not be forgotten. Dr.Calder - wherever you are-God bless you.

We moved to West Vancouver in 1955 and were lucky enough to find Doctor Calder. He delivered my brother in Feb. 1966 and continued to take care of all of the family until we moved to Vancouver Island in the late 90's. We have never managed to find a doctor here with the same compassion and empathy for patients that he demonstrated. He was an amazing family doctor.

Dr Calder looked after all four of us Cattermole kids. He was also a good friend to my parents Ralph and Esther. Such a good friend that they named my brother after him - Tom.
A good and kind man.

I have wonderful memories of Dr. Calder. He was a fine and decent man and an exceptional doctor, our family Dr. For 45 years. We have wonderful memories of all the times he helped us, births, deaths, house visits and countless office visits. Please check out comments on "I grew up in West Vancouver" on Facebook for many more tributes.
