McELROY, Walter Grassie
July 11, 1927 - November 1, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father Walter McElroy. Survived by his loving wife Jinny of 58 years, four sons, Walter Jr, Bradley, Whitney and Robert and grandchildren Sterling, Santana and Jayde. We want to thank all the caregivers at home and the Delta hospital and Delta Hospice Society for their exemplary care and compassion for our beloved father. A Memorial Service will be held at The BC Golf Museum where he was inducted in 2011 honoring his accomplishments as a golfing hero. Service wll be held at 2;00 p.m. Saturday, November 9th at the Old University Golf Club House 2545 Blanca Street Vancouver. Condolences can be forwarded to the BC Golf Museum ([email protected]).

My boss from Grassie Jewellers in the late 70's, Walter McElroy passed away. I was in the repair department and worked with many large diamond rings. I value the friends and experience gained from working with Mr. Mac. Never did see him after I left and often wondered about him. My thoughts are with his family.
