SHERRIN, Adrienne Todd: Adrienne Todd Sherrin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25. Born on November 26, 1934, in Vancouver, British Columbia, she was the only child of Iris and James McLean Todd. From a young age, Adrienne exhibited a keen intellect and a love for learning. A standout student at Cecil Rhodes and King Edward High School, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, followed by her Medical Doctorate. While attending medical school, Adrienne met the love of her life, Darrell. Their journey together took them to Cleveland, Ohio, where they spent four years completing their medical residencies. Adrienne pursued her internship and residency in anesthesiology at Saint Vincent Charity Hospital, and later, they moved to Houston, Texas, for Darrell's additional surgical training. In 1965, Adrienne and Darrell settled in Kelowna, where she worked as an anesthesiologist. She later transitioned to part-time work in general practice, allowing her to dedicate more time to her growing family. Adrienne had a deep appreciation for the arts and was a longtime member of the Lively Arts Singers. Music brought her great joy, as did travel. After Darrell's retirement, the two embarked on a remarkable year at sea with Norwegian Cruise Lines, where Darrell served as the ship's doctor. Their shared sense of adventure led them across South and Central America, Europe, England, Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, Africa, China, and Australia, making cherished memories together. For many years, Adrienne wintered in Mesa, Arizona, where she enjoyed playing tennis, crafting, and dancing with Darrell. She was an early adopter of computers and a dedicated genealogical sleuth, leaving behind a meticulously researched history of the Sherrin and Todd families-a treasured gift for generations to come. Adrienne is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Darrell Sherrin, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and adventure. She will be deeply missed by her three children: Alexander and his wife Marybeth Sherrin, Andrea and her husband Tim Halley, and Todd and his wife Jill Sherrin. Her six grandchildren-Ian, Graeme, McLean, Owen, Camryn, and Bryce-brought her immense joy, and she relished in their accomplishments. Adrienne's intellect, adventurous spirit, and passion for wildlife and the environment will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey. A private family gathering will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy or World Wildlife. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
