Alex HORVATH Obituary

HORVATH, Alex With great sadness, the family of Alex Horvath announces his sudden passing on November 17, 2025, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, surrounded by lifelong friends. Born in Prince George, Alex lived in Vancouver, Drumheller, and Calgary before settling in Penticton. Alex was an avid fisherman and golfer, and enjoyed watching football, hockey, and baseball. He had a deep love of music-especially punk, metal, and rock-and played both drums and guitar. Mexico was his favourite travel destination, and he was happiest in the warmth of the sun. Alex was known for his direct nature, humour, and storytelling, as well as his sensitivity and loyalty. He will be remembered as a familiar face at the Copper Mug, sharing a beer and conversation with the regulars. Predeceased by his mother, Julianna, Alex is survived by his sister Margaret (Daniel); brothers Bela and Danny; sister Julia (Dwayne); niece Michelle (Joseph); nephews Brian (Lisa) and Liam; grand-nephews Jordan and Donovan; and grand-nieces Anna and Iris. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. "You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools-but that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live forever" - Motörhead A Celebration of Life will be held in July 2026.
