PETURSSON, Annie: July 5, 1927 to February 3, 2022 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Annie Petursson in Penticton on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at the age of 94. Devoted wife, and mother, Annie is survived by her daughter Karen (Randy) Black, son Michael (Patricia) Petursson, son Gordon Petursson, 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Geiger in 1995 and her husband Gordon Cecil (Cece) in 2006. Born in Cranbook, BC, Annie spent her early years in Edmonton before moving to Vancouver. In 1957, Annie married the love of her life Cece. They raised their family in Coquitlam, where they resided for over 20 years, eventually retiring to their lake home in Penticton. In her younger years, Annie loved taking bus trips with her sister to Reno, Nevada. She also could be found in an arena watching her children and later, her grandchildren, either ice skating or playing hockey. Annie loved spending summers at the Lake, looking over the water and watching sunsets, while listening to the sounds of family who visited often and enjoyed summers together. Annie loved playing Bingo and the thrill of the casino. If ever we couldn't find her, we knew exactly where she would be! In her later years, she developed a love of travel, especially her trips to Hawaii. Forever in our hearts, she will be deeply missed. A private memorial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the nurses of the Village by the Station. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
