BIRGIT SCHERTEL Obituary
SCHERTEL, BIRGIT: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Birgit Schertel after losing her valiant battle with cancer. Birgit passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016. She was born on October 12th, 1963 in Hamburg, Germany and moved to Penticton with her family in 2008. Birgit will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gustav, her two daughters, Joleen and Josefin; son-in-law Cody; the Drachenbergs, family Walterfang, Dienst in Germany, family Oberti in France as well as all friends. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Penticton on Friday, February 12, 2016 -1:00 p.m. We thank the Moog & Friends Hospice House and staff for their compassionate care.
