JOHNSTON, Carole: It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Carole Johnston (née Desrosiers), of Penticton, BC, on Sunday, March 27, 2022. At 56 years, she leaves behind beloved husband David Johnston, of 31 years, two children Bryce (Sarhenity) and Bryanna (Shayle), alongside her grandchildren Ali and Luke, sisters Jackie, Sue (Cecil), Claudette (Dominic) and brothers Luc (Suzanne), Eugene (Marolyn) and Denis (Christa). She was predeceased by her parents Etienne and Annette Desrosiers. Carole grew up playing soccer, ringette and so much more, in Cornwall, ON, living the active lifestyle she loved. She had a passion for creativity and art; always creating something new in her crafty world. Carole spent over ten years involved in the Air Cadet program, as a Lieutenant Officer. Her passion was devoting her spare time towards volunteering, as well as being heavily involved in her children's everyday sports, coaching on the sidelines at each game. She always strived to impact others in such positive ways, and never failed. Carole was a recipient of an amazing award, the 'Alberta Centennial Medal', which is honoured to those who dedicate their time and leadership towards their community and most importantly, society. Carole was an amazing mum and memere(grandma), putting each of us ahead of herself. She had a heart of gold and love like no other. Rest in peace, we love you until the end of time. A visitation is being held April 7, 2022, at Kettle Valley Memorial, 461 Dawson Avenue, Penticton, from 2-4pm.
