Dave Aldridge Obituary

Aldridge, Dave: On February 19, 2024, David Aldridge, beloved father and husband, passed from this world peacefully, surrounded by his wife, children, and siblings. Dave was survived by his wife, Sue, his son, Ryan, his daughter, Kylie, his brother and sister, Mike and Linda, his mother, Irene, and four grandchildren: Damian, Madelyn, Grayson, and Lincoln. Dave grew up in Penticton, the son of Irene and Edward Aldridge. Throughout his life, he called many communities home: Prince George where he raised his children, Kamloops, Langley where he retired from Finning Caterpillar in 2013, Oliver, and further afield in Mexico. After years of moving around, Dave and his wife, Sue, recently settled in Salmo. Dave was a proud family man and was happiest working with his hands. He believed that working with one's hands soothed the soul. Indeed, Dave could often be found helping paint a house with his daughter, working with his brother, Mike, on various projects, and doing extensive house renovations of his own in Salmo. Dave had a laugh that echoed through the room; he also gave a mean Donald Duck impression. Dave's absence leaves a tremendous hole in our hearts and in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him. His celebration of life will be held on June 9, 2024 in Penticton.

I worked with Dave for many years at Finning. He was very generous with his time and a very hard worker. Dave got things done and was very customer focused. Dave was always there for a friend. He will be missed. My condolences to the family. Tony and Susan de Sousa

The Aldridge's were our neighbors for many years, and I have many good memories of the fishing and camping trips that our families did together. My parents and Dave's parents become life long friends. Dave and I were good childhood friends. Rest in peace Dave and thanks for all the fun memories.
