Davison Lee Obituary

Lee Davison July 25, 1932 - October 23, 2025 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our inspiring and much-loved mother, Lee Davison. Born in Michel, BC on July 25, 1932 to Charles Morrison Fish and Kathleen Fish(nee)Phillips, later moved to East Vancouver. Mom attended Britannia High School with former Premier Dave Barrett and formed her political alliances early. Mom moved to the west side of Vancouver, then to the Westend and after to Penticton. Mom owned the See Ya Later Ranch in the early days and championed the betterment of BC wine culminating in the first international gold medal for a single BC winery. Mom was a huge supporter of the Arts and helped raise funds for the Penticton Art Galleries current building and other events. She was also on the selection committee for the "Kitchen Stove Film Festivals" for many years. Mom read the newspapers daily and kept current with local, provincial and global politics. Mom was a school teacher and helped form the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and contributed to the curriculum for dyslexic children. She had a passion for travelling the world and spent time in Russia, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Britain and Greece. Mom lived on her own and drove her beloved 1990 Toyota wagon up till she fell breaking her hip and died in Penticton hospital from complications surrounded by her children, oldest son Bob Florko, daughter Kerry Rhodes, (son in law Kelly Rhodes), and youngest son Dave Florko. Predeceased by middle son Kevin Florko, she also left granddaughters Alysha Florko, Taunya Florko (partner Gord Lloyd) grandson Wilson Rhodes and great grandchildren Ruby and Arlo. We are forever grateful to the doctors and staff at the PGH for the care and kindness Mom received, the family cannot thank you enough. We will celebrate her life starting at 2:15 pm til 5:00 pm on Sunday Nov. 30, 2025 at the Bufflehead Cafe in Penticton's Lakeshore Resort, 21 Lakeshore Drive, Penticton where she would meet with her much loved Mon. Wed. Fri. coffee group. She was tiny but mighty and an inspiration to all that knew her.
