Ethel Aked Obituary

Aked, Ethel: D.O.B. October 18, 1930 D.O.D. November 8, 2025 Ethel Aked passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025 at the age of 95 in Victoria, B.C. Born in Lancashire, England she now joins her beloved husband Maurice (d. 2014). Loving mother of Stephen (Alison), Heather (Tim), and Caroline (Rob). Cherished grandmother of Rebecca (Brian), Cassandra (Fred), Alexander, MacCallum, and Harris, and great-grandmother of Beckley, Sullivan, Zoey, Ewan, and Liam. Ethel lived a full and adventurous life, moving from England to Rhodesia, then emigrating to Canada in 1964. She loved travel, golf, Scottish country dancing, and entertaining friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Gorge Road Long-Term Care, Arbutus Unit, for their care and kindness, especially over Ethel's last few days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society are appreciated.
