1921 - 2018

KNYPSTRA, Frances Eleanor: January 10, 1921 - December 28, 2017. Frances Knypstra went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2017 at the age of 96. She was loved deeply by Joe, her husband of 50 years, their children, grandchildren and friends. Frances was born in Winnipeg and moved to Kaleden in 1951 where she raised three children and cared for many animals. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Miller, in 1962, and married Joe Knypstra in 1967. Frances and Joe worked together building bakery and butcher businesses in Kaleden before retiring to Penticton. Frances loved gardening, knitting and fishing for many years. In 2003, Frances became a Salvation Army soldier. Frances will be deeply missed by her husband, Joe; children Douglas (Norma), Carolyn (Carl), and Christine (Ron); grandchildren Nicole, Megan and Carly (Alex); step-children John and Marijke (Dave). Special thanks to Drs. Main and Clark and staff in the Penticton Hospital and the Moog Hospice House for the care and support. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Penticton Salvation Army Church, 2469 South Main Street, on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00.
