ELEVINA "HELEN" GEORGE of Olalla B.C. SUNRISE October 29, 1937--SUNSET March 8, 2026 From the Family of Helen George it is with love and sadness that we said "our good-byes", to her on March 8, 2026 at the age of 88. Her loving husband of 69 years Alfred George, and their 4 daughters, Colleen Vass, Freda Kummel, Violet Kovach and Gwen Wachtler. Helen lived her life in Penticton and Olalla, she was born on her Grandma's Julia Richter's Ranch in Olalla. Helen was an Elder of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band. Mom was a kind and gentle soul who touch many hearts, with her kind of love. As the Matriarch of her Family she is sadly predeceased by: Brother and sisters Fredrick(Sandy)Marsel, Irene Schram, Margaret Allemandi, Pat Marsel, Charlie Peterson. Father Oliver Peterson, Mother Nellie Richter Marsel Peterson and her first Grandson Alfred Leroy Vass. She leaves behind: Husband Alfred George of Olalla, Daughters Colleen Vass of Olalla, Freda Kummel, of Olalla, Violet (Gene)Kovach of Cawston and Gwen (Tibor) Wachtler of Keremeos. Helen's legacy is carried on by her Grandchildren, Holly Vass (Scott Hughes). Clayton (Jennifer) Kovach. Nikki Kovach (Guy Aiken). TJ Wachtler, Ryan (Samantha) Wachtler. Great Grand Children, Dominic. Vanelle, Adrienne, Myla, Elizabeth. Nicholas, William, Taylor, Matthew and Tibor. Also, many Niece's, Nephew's, Cousins and Good Friends A big loving Thank You, to all the Care Aid Lady's and Men of the Interior Heath of Keremeos. A kind Thank You to the Penticton Emergence staff and the 6th floor staff for their loving way of looking after. Thank you to all the family and friend for the loving Prayers. The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday March 28, 2026, at 11am in Olalla, at the Family Cemetery. Red Balloon with mark the place and signs will be posted.
