Jacqueline INSKIP Obituary

INSKIP, Jacqueline Mary: In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Mary Inskip Jacqueline Mary Inskip passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the Moog Hospice in Penticton, BC, after battling with cancer. She was 85 years old. Jackie was born on February 14, 1940, in Bedford, England, a Valentine's Day baby, known throughout her life for the kindness, compassion, and love she showed to others. She pursued her education with determination and grace, earning a degree from Hull and later a Bachelor's from Edinburgh. Her passion for people and culture led her to travel widely across Europe, then onward to Australia and Canada, where she would eventually build a fulfilling life and career. Jackie's deep commitment to helping others led her to complete a Master's degree in Social Work at the University of British Columbia. She worked at both Lion's Gate Hospital and Queen's Park Hospital, where she supported countless individuals and families with wisdom and care. In 1982, Jackie met the love of her life, William (Bill) Webb. They married in 1984 in Vancouver and shared a beautiful journey together. Their life took them to the United States for several years before they returned to Canada in 2003, settling in Kaslo, BC, where they lovingly cared for Bill's ailing sister and her family. When their niece left for university, Jackie and Bill made their final move to Penticton, BC, where they enjoyed a quieter pace of life together. Jackie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, sharp mind, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She is survived by her beloved husband Bill, her brother David, and her sister Dianna, as well as all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Jackie will always be my big sister.Ofter charged with looking after me or taking me with
Her!She never moaned about this had endless patience. We were at boarding school together and shared a bedroom for many years. As adults she visited me where I was and we shared happy experiences together. She supported me with our elderly parents
And made frequent trips to U.K. to help out.Although we were separated by miles apart
We kept in touch.Even now I think must call Jackie for news advice and a catch-up.
I will miss my big sister but so lucky and glad to have had her in my life as many others are too.Thank you for always being there.
