Jeanette Louise MARTIN

1937 - 2019

MARTIN, Jeanette Louise: July 2, 1937 - March 15, 2019. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother Jeanette Martin at 81 years of age. Jeanette was born in New Westminster, BC, grew up on Vancouver Island, moved to Salmon Arm in 1967 where she worked and resided until 1992; she retired to Kelowna to enjoy the warmth of the Okanagan. She is survived by her children Dennis McKone, Colleen Cederholm, Michael McKone and Gloria Couture; she was predeceased by her son Thomas McKone in 2017. Jeanette leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeanette will be missed by her family and many friends, especially the social groups with which she was involved such as the Kelowna Lioness Club, The Red Hat Society and the many organizations to which she volunteered her time. She will be remembered fondly for her sense of humor and a lovely smile with which she greeted everyone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kelowna BC on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
