ANDERSON, Joan Elaine: December 19, 1933 - January 24,2026 In Loving Memory of Joan Elaine Anderson It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Joan Elaine Anderson (née Barritt), who left us on January 24, 2026, at the age of 92. Joan lived a long and wonderful life, filled with love and adventure. Her passion for travel took her to many places, creating cherished memories along the way. In her later years, Joan found happiness in simple pleasures. She spent time tending to her backyard and vegetable garden, participated in weekly gatherings with her knitting group at the Penticton Seniors Center, and looked forward to Friday afternoon card games with friends that were always filled with laughter. She played an active role in organizing her Edmonds 49rs Junior High School reunions for many years. She also found delight in solving crossword puzzles and assembling jigsaw puzzles. Joan is survived by her daughters, Tannis (Werner) and Naydene (Kim), her grandchildren Samantha, Allen, Kerri (Ray), and Tannis (Ryan), nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and Pearl, her fur baby that was always at her side. Pearl now resides with Tannis. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Murray (2019), her parents Wilfred and Beatrice Barritt, her brother, Norman, and her great-granddaughter Freya. The family extends special thanks to the exemplary nurses at the Penticton Hospital who cared for mom in her final days. Mom, we love you and will miss you dearly!
