Julia GALAN

GALAN (Schnerch), Julia: January 4, 1932 - January 4, 2026 Julia Galan (Schnerch) of Kelowna, British Columbia, passed away in Calgary, Alberta, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, her 94th birthday, peacefully, surrounded by family. She was born in 1932, in Gimli, Manitoba. Julie married Harry Galan in 1950, and together they raised one son, Douglas. Julie is lovingly remembered by her son Douglas (Kym), her grandchildren; Roman, Jonathon, and Victoria (Justin), as well as many family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry, and her siblings, Rudy, Art, and Arnold Schnerch. A private service will be held in Calgary on Monday, January 12, 2026. Interment will take place at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband Harry. The family would like to thank Chinook Care Centre for the wonderful care they provide for Julia in the final months of her life.
