Keith GOSTLIN Obituary

GOSTLIN, Keith: With profound sadness, the Gostlin family announces the passing of Keith on November 4, 2021, while surrounded by family in his home, at the age of 78. Keith was a devoted husband and best friend to Andrea (deceased), loving father to Dan (Lyndsey) and Jeff, proud grandfather to Sarah, Luke, Victoria, Annalise, Arianna and Bianca, brother to Robert Gostlin (Kim), uncle to Trevor (Michelle), Rick (Tara) and David, and loving partner to Jamie Whittla (daughter Fiona). Keith began his 52 year career as a Canadian Tire dealer at age 24 in Spryfield, Nova Scotia. His career took him to Guelph, ON, then Kelowna, BC, where he opened Kelowna's first Canadian Tire Store in 1981. Keith retired from this location, 38 years later, in 2019. His constant drive for success, incredible work ethic and ability to lead people, allowed Keith to greatly impact all who knew him. His never ending passion for race cars, motorcycles and boats kept him in the fast lane through much of his life. Keith's most memorable times were spent with his family on their many trips and during holidays at Big White and Gostlin Keefer Lake Lodge, where he shared his love of good food and great wine. His wisdom and spirit will live on forever in all of their hearts. A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of the key role the staff played in Keith's success and enjoyment of his career, a contribution to the Staff Fund at Canadian Tire Kelowna can be made by contacting John Gilbert at [email protected] or 250-860-5744.
