SMITH, Kenneth: Nov. 28, 1946 - Dec. 3, 2015 After a lengthy battle with lung cancer Kenneth Lloyd Smith passed away peacefully at Moog and Friends Hospice House on December 3, 2015. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sandra, two daughters, Kenna (Warren) and Heather (Dan), 4 granddaughters Desiree (John), Michelle, Grace, Annaliese and 3 great grandsons Logan, Michael and William. Also left to mourn are 2 sisters, Laureen and Shelley (Don) and 1 brother, Stuart. He is predeceased by his father Reg, his mother Mickey and his brother, Mervin. Ken was born in Winnipeg on November 28, 1946, raised in Churchill and spent his career as a management accountant in Winnipeg, Fredericton, New Brunswick; Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan and Oliver, BC. After Sandra's retirement they moved to Penticton, BC in June 2010. Ken's proudest achievements were obtaining his private pilot's licence and building an RV7 airplane. However, Ken traded the airplane for a motorhome in 2009 and together with Sandra spent much time travelling Canada and the U.S. He also loved to play golf and strum on his guitar. Ken will be remembered for his quick wit and willingness to help others. Family/private Celebration of Life to be held.
