Lance MATTHEW Obituary

MATTHEW, Lance: It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lance Matthew after his lengthy battle with cancer. He passed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the age of 69. Lance was predeceased by his parents, Colin and Rae Matthew, as well as his brother, Dean. Lance is survived by his beloved wife, Julie; daughter, Laura and son, Curtis Matthew. Lance worked for the City of Penticton as a building inspector for 31 years, he retired in 2010. After Lance retired, he loved to spend time with his family including his favorite dog Luna. whenever he could he would pack up the truck to go fishing and camping with friends and family. I've finished life's chores assigned to me, So put me on a boat headed out to sea. Please send along my fishing pole, For I've been invited to the fishin' hole. To all of those that think of me, Be happy as I go out to sea. If others wonder why I'm missin', Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'.

My sincere condolences to lances family. I had the pleasure to know lance for the last 15 years or so he was a sincere genuine great guy with an amazing sense of humour we had some great laughs over the years He would help you whenever he could I hope your up there fishing and relaxing and are at peace. Sharon and I are sorry to hear of Lance passing. Lance always had great advise and was very knowledgeable in his job. I have many fond memories of Lance during my time Building and Renovating in the Penticton area. He will be truly missed by his family, friends and all that he came in contact with. Our loving thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
