Louis BECHARD Obituary

BECHARD, Louis Claude: Sunrise Sept 6, 1949 - Sunset Oct 27, 2021 With broken hearts we announce Claude's passing in Penticton, BC. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara and greatly loved by her children Matt & Abbie & their families, his sister Elaine and family, brother Leo's children, his step children Jasmine and Jason and their families, and his life long friend, Greg. Predeceased by parents Paul and Gilbertte Bechard, twin brother Leo and infant sister. Paul and Jill purchased land on Casorso Rd in 1969 and with Claude and Leo began the development of Central Mobile Home Park. 50 years after becoming a family business it was sold in 2020. Whether on his E bike for a morning coffee, a pleasant ride on the Spyder enjoying the Okanagan or a drive with Barb for brunch, he was content and with spirits high. Claude was proud to call Bill W. a true friend for 38 years. He and Barb traveled the world extensively always planning and eagerly awaiting their next adventure together with O.A.T. or an exotic cruise. Claude, lovingly called "Papa" by his granddaughter Avalon, was a quiet, unassuming, humble and spiritual soul who was also most generous to so many. He lived his life his way and this is how he chose to say goodbye to us. There will be a small casual gathering to celebrate this lovely man with family and close friends in the near future. To be held in his most favorite place, the home he and Barb shared following their move from Kelowna. Flowers are graciously declined with consideration given in Claude's honour to Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, where for a few weeks he received exceptional care with love and grace, or his favorite charity, BCSPCA, or of your choosing. This isn't the end - It's a new beginning, was Claude's belief. Me & Thee Luv
