For 40 years a better friend could not be found than Lynn Dickie. From a small town in Saskatchewan this loyal friend left legacies that still stand today. From tall buildings in downtown Edmonton, to the waterfall installation on the High Level Bridge, to a boat dock in Indonesia and power plants throughout Alberta ending with an elected position as Mayor of a Municipality. It was my privilege to work with and for Lynn for many years during his political career.
My family and I have truly lost much with Lynn's passing as well as missing Rene. Our condolences to you Gary and Grant and your families. Sincerely, Mark & Jeanette Anker, Debbie & Shelley and their family. June 3, 2015

Grant & Gary, I am sorry for your loss. I have many memories of working with Lynn and you boys at Grande Cache. I would like to extend my condolences for the loss of your mother as well. We had lost touch over the years and I was not aware that she had past away.

We have shared what seems like a lifetime of memories with Lynn & Rene. Those that stand out most is a New Years Party in the garage in Ross Haven with Grant as the DJ - Rene dressed like the Queen of the Nile! We played cards with fun & passion, Lynn always defending the rules & he always had an opinion on most subjects.
The best part about Lynn is that he had a firm handshake the best hugs & always loved company, which you could tell by his smile.
We'll miss you my friend -

Lynn & Rene were our neighbours for many years. We will always remember with fondness our backyard visits. These were enjoyed with a glass of wine and country music in a backyard filled with flowers, waterfalls and birdhouses. We had many pleasant visits with Lynn over the last year and during his time at Hospice House. We will miss you Lynn-but you are with your Rene now. Dale & Laraine
