Muriel Sutherland Obituary
Sutherland, Muriel (Min): 1928-2026 It's with sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother who was a long-time resident of Penticton. Surrounded by her daughters, Muriel (Min) Sutherland(Hicks) left us peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 97. Predeceased by her husband Laurence (Red) Sutherland, Muriel is survived by her daughters CarolAnn (Barry) Quibell and Barbara (Larry) Coghlan and her three grandchildren Michael (Moran) Collier, Danielle (Wes) Tyre, and Ryan Coghlan. She will be missed by her much loved seven Great Grandchildren, Jillian, Maxwell and Lucia Tyre, Grace and Nicholas Collier and Thea and Alfred Phares-Coghlan. She also leaves behind her dear sister Marlene Allard and many nieces and nephews who always enjoyed their visit with Auntie Min and have many stories to remember her by. From the time she was born on Dec 6th1928 the eldest of eight children, Min always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed many hours of golf during the summers at Twin Lakes, while winters were spent either at the Penticton Curling Club or cheering on our own local hockey team. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. As well, the family would like to thank Dr. Tatham for his dedicated long-time care for our mother.
