POHLMANN, Myrtle (nee Harbicht): Myrtle Pohlmann (nee Harbicht), born 26/Jul/1934, died peacefully at McKinney Place in Oliver, BC, on 20/Feb/26 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, and is survived by her children Wally (Marnie), Christine, Patty, and Michael (Murray), grandchildren, Stephanie, Joshua (Stacy), Kimberley, Desmond, Marissa (Jake) and Brayden, and great-grandchildren, Weston and Riley. Born in Central Butte, Sask., Myrtle moved with her family, to Penticton, BC, at age 4. Her family eventually located to Summerland, BC, to be orchardists in the Prairie Valley area. After marrying Gordon, she travelled to many military locations across Canada, eventually settling her young family in Penticton after Gordon left the services. Myrtle worked in retail, and home support, helping to set up some of the group care homes before retiring in 2002. Her spare time was spent in her garden. Myrtle was involved with the Pythian Sisters for many decades, using her excellent baking and cooking skills to supply bake sales, catering large events, and helping coordinate the OSNS telethon. Myrtle will be greatly missed for her compassion, appreciation, sense of humour and for being "mom" to so many of her childrens' friends. A memorial service will be held on 24/April/26, at 11:30 AM, at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave, Penticton. Please wear something colourful.
