KOSTIUK, Nickolas Victor: September 23, 1949 - May 11, 2015. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nick Kostiuk, a loving brother, father and grandpa. Nick was predeceased by his parents Nick and Diana. He is survived by brother Dennis (wife Jean), sister Victoria (husband Jerry), son Kris (wife Shantela), daughter Natasha (husband Cory) and daughter Katrina (husband Will); grandchildren Mackenzie, Easton, Hayden, Calleigh, Damien, and Roman. Nick will be remembered by family and his many friends as a caring and thoughtful person. As a retired butcher, Nick always knew the best cut of meat and would remind anyone who asked just how much that cut should cost! His love of fast cars, in particular stories of the Corvette he drove off the assembly line in Detroit and the raucous games of pool at the community centre will be fondly remembered. Most important to Nick was the health, happiness and security of his family. Nick spent many long days and nights to ensure all of the above; our lives will not be the same without him and he will be sorely missed. Celebration of Nick's Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Springfield Funeral Home 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna @ 4:00 pm. Interment to follow Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Lakeview Cemetery 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna @ 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association Kelowna Branch, in memory of Nick Kostiuk would be greatly appreciated.
