Richard Mathew HERTZ

HERTZ, Richard Mathew: Richard Mathew Hertz, 76, of Okanagan Falls, B.C. passed away on December 14, 2025 after a short battle with illness. Rick was born on October 11, 1949 to Madge and Michael Hertz in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. After graduating from Kindersley High School, he attended classes at the University of Saskatchewan before entering Marvel College in Saskatoon. Upon obtaining his diploma, he travelled and worked as a stylist before opening his own salon in Kindersley. He operated his business until moving to Okanagan Falls in 2008, where he enjoyed working mostly part-time until 2024. In 1996 he married Valerie and she continues to live in Okanagan Falls. Rick is predeceased by a brother, Michael. His brothers Joeseph, Gerry, Larry and sisters Gloria, Vicki, Bernadette, Mary and Teresa survive him. A service will be held in St. Ann's Church in Penticton on December 29th at 1 p.m. Tea and coffee will be held immediately after the service.
